thubten_gelong_buddhist_monk_220Emotions affect us in many ways, both positively and negatively. Fear can be classed as a negative emotion but at the same time push us to achieve goals, while happy emotions can cause us to lose concentration or sleep. Emotions, and how we deal with them, whether fear, anger, joy or sadness, shape who we are. By using the tools of meditation and mindfulness we can learn to deal with emotions as they arise, bringing awareness and acceptance.

Gelong Thubten offers his advice on this topic in a talk on Monday 15th September at 7.30pm. This talk is suitable for all, Buddhist and non-Buddhist, beginners and long-time practitioners. All are welcome!
