Ceremonies to commemorate the passing of Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche

As we approach the first anniversary of the passing of our beloved founder and teacher, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche, we will mark the day with prayers for his swift return and a tsok puja. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life and work of Akong Rinpoche, without whom our Centre would not exist.
The day will begin with the practice of White Tara at 6.30am -7.30am. The Shrine Room will then be open all day from 9.30am and there will be an opportunity to come and do mantra recitation. We are still collecting mantras, as requested by Tai Situ Rinpoche, and all mantras done on this day (and indeed any other day) will be added to the totals of all the Samye Dzongs. If you are doing mantras at home please let us know of the numbers you have done, by email info@buddhism.ie or by phone 01 4537427. We need One Million each of Chenrezi, Amitabha, Guru Rinpoche and Dorge Sempa, so please keep going!
The ‘Shower of Blessings’ Tsok Puja will begin at 7pm, with a Light offering – all are welcome to participate in this practice specially dedicated to the memory of Akong Rinpoche, and all sentient beings, and the more people we have the greater the merit generated will be.
Offerings of light, flowers, food and incense are welcome – we will make a light offering as well, so if anyone would like to sponsor the tea-lights please let us know. If you are free to help in the preparation of the tormas and tsok – let us know, preparations will begin from about 3pm.
